Problem Statement
There is an urgent need for a technologically advanced and efficient landmine detection solution that not only accelerates the demining process but also minimizes the risks faced by deminers

Background: Sarah is a 38-year-old demining specialist with over a decade of experience in clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXOs) from post-conflict regions. She holds a degree in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and has worked with international organizations and NGOs in various conflict-affected areas worldwide.
Name: Sarah
Age: 38-year-old
Occupation: Explosive Ordnance Disposa
The dangerous and unpredictable nature of her
work puts her at risk of injury or worse.
Limited resources and outdated detection
technology.
Longs for more efficient and accurate tools to
support her mission.
Frustations:
To ensure the safety of communities affected
by landmines.
Development of advanced landmine detection
technology that accelerates the demining process,
minimizes risks to herself and her team, and enables
communities to return to their homes
with confidence.
Goals:
Say:
Discuss safety procedures and protocols.
Communicate findings to team members.
Share stories of successful demining operations.
Express concerns about potential hazards.
See:
Harsh and challenging terrain.
Camouflage of landmines and UXOs (unexploded ordnance).
Colleagues working cautiously.
Protective gear, metal detectors, and tools.
Say:
Discuss safety procedures and protocols.
Communicate findings to team members.
Share stories of successful demining operations.
Express concerns about potential hazards.
Think:
Concerns about the invisible danger beneath their feet.
The importance of their work in protecting lives.
The responsibility to their team's safety.
The desire for efficient and accurate detection tools.
Feel:
Anxiety and tension while working in high-risk areas.
Satisfaction when a landmine is successfully detected and cleared.
Frustration with the limitations of current detection methods.
Determination to make the landmine-infested areas safer.
Landmines are explosive devices that are typically buried underground or concealed on the surface, designed to explode when triggered by pressure, movement, or remote control.
Landmines are explosive devices that are typically buried underground or concealed on the surface, designed to explode when triggered by pressure, movement, or remote control.

GPR,Ground-Penetrating Radar is employed to scan the ground for anomalies in the soil's electromagnetic properties caused by buried landmines. The system uses high-frequency radar waves to create subsurface images.

Capturing co-ordinates and collecting data, Ground-based sensors, including GPR and metal detectors, continuously scan the ground.
